I feel very strongly that the key to education is participation—both the freedom to ask questions and the enjoyment that comes with a rewarding and interactive learning environment. As a teacher, I believe my role is to encourage this participation in students, remaining attentive to the needs and interests of each of them. As such, I place a heavy emphasis on students’ own contributions throughout lessons, and seek to guide them to a fuller understanding of the language by inspiring their curiosity and ambition.
